Holm - Strömsbruk
Holm is the beautiful place that surrounds the lakes of Holm and goes from
Holms swiftly floating water to Strömsbruk. Welth of species with alot of
rarities. The birds concerts are intense. Many parts of the fertile fields
has trees now.
Holm is a place with many myths. The story of the dark-eyed beauty
Anna, daughter to a county judge, and her tragic love, is associated to
Sörholm.
The story about the farm that dissapeared belongs to Norrholm. It
is reproduced in many versions but the content is that the farm is sinking
and the hardhearted master escapes with his silver treasure from the
catastrophe. He digs the treasure down without ever finding it again.
Vettberget
Vettbergets ancient castle is probably from the Iron Ages (400 before
Christ - 1050 after Christ). Castles was built as a protection from
channels or as a haven of war. This castle is probably a haven. Below the
castle lies a partly destroyed crevice that forms a cave. A footprint has
been carved in at the caves stonewall, this was most likely made about
3000 years ago. This ancient monument lies between Hårte and Sörfjärden,
at Lunnsjön.
Vålmyraknallarna
Vålmyraknallarna is an ancient area that consists of a grave field and
four seperate cairns. The grave field has five cairns of which two
contains rockchests. The cairn is 15 metres long and 5 metres wide. They
was build when the ocean stood 20-35 metres higher than it is today. This
was made during the Bronze Ages, about 1500-500 years before Christ. This
ancient monument lies between Hårte and Mellanfjärden.
