The Ersk-Mats farm in Hassela
A living farm with a 19th century enviroment and animals. Guided tours. Theme days. Cafeteria with coffee and old fashion food.
When you come to the farm of Ersk-Mats, a guide will tell you a well documented history of the farm. It was built about 200 years ago by Erik Mattson, a relative to the Finlander that immigrated from Savolax at 1598. The farm has 15 buildings, all with it's special function.
Events: Christmas market with lots of the delights of Christmas on every Halloween weekend.

The Hazelius farm in Älgered
The real estate was bought in 1816 by the rural dean in Bergsjö, Pehr Hazelius. A new building was built, the Hazelius farm. The rural dean widdow Dorotea, born Wought, moved there in the year of 1818.
The building is a "widebuilding", with two rooms in breadth. The interior is amongst others a tile stove on wooden feet, a handpainted wall border and 19th century wallpapers.
